It is charity. The Us receive little for their investments in these sports.

The only persons who benefit are the kids on scholarship. If the kids truly love these sports then they willl be more than happy to play for free and compete against the kids from Radford, JMU, and VMI.

VT should not be spending tens of millions of dollars to prop these things up. The money being spent on football and basketball is a much better deal. THAT's where our funds should be going. Success in those sports brings in more money and creats FAR more exposure for the school.
